Topping-out Ceremony: ecoPARK Gelsenkirchen Is Ahead of Its Time
Gelsenkirchen, February 26. ecoPARK Gelsenkirchen is ahead of its time—even when it comes to construction. The topping-out ceremony for this exceptionally sustainable business and multi-tenant commercial park, which ecoPARKS GmbH is developing on a portion of the former Schalke club grounds, was held earlier than planned. While full completion is scheduled for the third quarter of this year, the space will likely be available to potential tenants as early as May. In total, a new, divisible industrial building and modern office spaces are being constructed on approximately 15,800 square meters of gross floor area.
ecoPARK Gelsenkirchen: A Sustainable Business Park Takes Shape in Just Ten Months
The ecoPARK Gelsenkirchen is under construction. Last Friday, the installation of the first concrete columns was celebrated, and the project is scheduled for full completion as early as late summer. This particularly sustainable business and multi-tenant commercial park is being built on a portion of the former Schalke club grounds and will include a new, divisible warehouse building with office space totaling approximately 15,800 square meters of gross floor area. The project is being carried out as part of a joint venture between ecoPARK GmbH and AEW.

Construction is set to begin on ecoPARK Gelsenkirchen. On a portion of the site of the former Schalke club, ecoPARKS GmbH is developing this highly sustainable business and multi-tenant commercial park, whose new, divisible hall—including office space—will offer approximately 16,200 square meters of gross floor area. The project is being carried out as a joint venture with AEW, one of the world’s leading real estate investment and asset managers. Completion is scheduled for the third quarter of 2025.
Animagus Moves into ecoPARK Leipzig West
Leipzig / Markranstädt, September 24. ecoPARK Leipzig-West is filling up: Animagus GmbH is already the third tenant to move into the completed new construction project by ecoPARKS GmbH. Animagus, a manufacturer of innovative pet food products, will occupy 2,200 square meters of space in the sustainable business park, where it will produce, among other things, dietary supplements and food for dogs, cats, and horses. The move into the modern facility—featuring a flexible office concept in a timber-frame structure—is scheduled for early October.
Brownfield Award: Silver for ecoPARK Jena
ecoPARK Jena proves that logistics and production facilities for industrial companies can also be environmental pioneers. The new facility, which received funding under the KFW 40 EE program and where Kuroda Jena Tec manufactures linear and rotary drive products, stands out for its sustainability in both construction and operation. This has now also been recognized by the jury of the Brownfield24 Awards, which honored our project with the Silver Prize in the “Brownfields under 10,000 m²” category.

ecoPARKS leases 22,000 square meters in western Leipzig to the technology company Skeleton
The real estate developer ecoPARK, based in Monheim, has leased approximately 22,000 square meters to Skeleton Technologies GmbH in its new business park in Markranstädt. Of this, approximately 3,000 square meters are designated for office and common areas, while 19,000 square meters are allocated for production and research. The technology company is the first major tenant at the new ecoPARK site in western Leipzig. There, the commercial and light-industrial real estate developer is constructing approximately 30,000 square meters of warehouse space and 3,500 square meters of office space on a plot of land measuring approximately 75,000 square meters. A total of approximately 50 million euros is being invested in the revitalization of the formerly industrially used sites.
